For Becca & I, Rise has always been about community. We started our tiny bakery in our one bedroom apartment after we got married almost 6 years ago. We had friends (and strangers) picking up baked goods at our front door on a regular basis. As our name grew we bought a house and continued operating our bakery in our tiny kitchen. Inviting folks into our home to pick up baked goods was very vulnerable for us but yet again felt so natural. After a year or so of baking in our home, we were invited to start baking at the former vegan restaurant, Bartertown Diner. A friend of ours was working for the restaurant at the time and wanted to help me get Rise off the ground and into a commercial setting. Although our time at Bartertown was short, it was a season I will never forget. Our final and longest stop before arriving at our new space was at @crossroads_bible_church. Our beautiful church family had just finished building out their commercial kitchen and asked us if we’d be interested in using it for our bakery. We were insanely blessed by the staff at Crossroads to use their kitchen for just shy of 3 years while we grew and developed our company. All of these beautiful stages of growth have brought us here, to our wonderful shared space with @squibb_gr. Our space is cozy, creative, & communal and represents our journey of those around us supporting our dream. Thank you to @victoriagrahace , our patient realtor who helped us look for the perfect space for over a year. In honor of our journey we had our wonderfully talented friend, @chelseamichalart hand paint our mural to represent those of you that have supported our dreams and those of you that will make this space your new place to gather with friends and strangers alike. Give Chelsea a follow and consider buying one of her pieces hung in our space. She is incredibly talented and our shared communal storefront would not be the same without her talent. Last thing - we have so many other friends who we supported to make our space beautiful and we are so excited to share about them in the upcoming weeks. Stay tuned!!

Homes are popular on Instagram, too.

Popular places get a lot of love on Instagram, but so do pictures of homes. The right photo can grab your attention (like the ones above). Quality images are equally as important in real estate. According to the Center for REALTOR® Development (CRD), homes with high-quality photography sell 32% faster and for more money. That's why every home we list receives both professional photography and marketing on Instagram.
